Info about Direct to Garment Printing (DTG)

What is Direct to Garment (DTG) Printing?

DTG is the term we use to indicate we are printing directly to the garment without the use of screens or other applications. We use an Epson F2100 inkjet printer that we load on a table that goes into the machine. The printer prints right on the garment.

How much does DTG Printing cost?

One location dtg print cost is $18.00 - $30.00 plus the cost of the garment. Depending on the size of the print and the color of the shirt.

What does DTG Printing do best?

Our Epson F2100 Printer can print your full color graphics like photo's. Small runs of 5 or less, especially if more than 3 colors are needed.

Best on 100% Cotton Shirts, our staff favorite is the Bella+Canvas Unisex American Made Jersey.

What can't DTG do?

Our printer prints in Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black and White. The printer doesn't print "Fluorescent Inks," Like Fluorescent Orange or Fluorescent Pink.

If you need specialty colors we can do that with Screen Printing.

How long will my print last?

Our printer manufacturer claims with proper Pre-Treatment, and Curing, your shirt will last upto 60 washes.

What does DTG Printing fell like?

Prints on White shirts are virtually smooth to the touch. Prints on dark shirts are thicker but they are smooth. Compared to traditional Screen Printing.

What is "Pre-Treatment," and will it change the shirt?

Pretreatment is used to create a bond to the shirt to prolong its lifespan and enrich the color vibrancy.

Do you Pre-Treat all your garments?

ABSOLUTELY! We pre-treat all shirts. They look better and last longer.
